Interdisciplinary seminar: “Digital cultures. Digital identity and education”.
Digital is not just a technology. “It is the foundational technological medium of the information society, which makes possible the unlimited expansion of interactive networks in every area of our existence” (Manuel Castells). Networks that give rise to a new social morphology within which a new paradigm of information technology develops according to five main characteristics: information as the raw material on which to act, the pervasiveness of the information technologies used, the logic of networking, flexibility, and convergence (Castells). Within it, social media is now the privileged place where consumers and companies acquire information about quality, brands, products, and above all, it has enabled the emergence of new professions. Along this linear the idea of “telling” three specific segments of digital innovation.
